At Dragonfly we are mindful of others, and of our environment.
In the making and printing of our products we are committed to involving as many artisans and other community minded businesses from within Kenya and East Africa.
We strive to keep work within our communities, and help establish financial security. We act ethically, with integrity and transparency in all of our business dealings.
We endeavor to safeguard our employees and artisans we deal with against any form of modern day slavery or bribery.
For many years now, we have been and continue to be committed to reducing our carbon footprint, and ensuring sustainability in the fabrics and inks we use.
Our studio is custom built, well ventilated, with lots of natural light, solar panels and rain water storage.
We are surrounded by trees and a serene garden filled with tropical birds, squirrels and mongoose.
We never take for granted the water or electricity supply as often we are forced to work without.
The wooden screen frames and ink pots are always re-used. We have frames that are over 25 years old and still do the job!
The ink pigments are sourced from EU manufacturers that adhere to the bluesign and carry the EU Ecolabel.
